Writing screenplays can be difficult and lengthy process. If you are ever struggling with a line of dialogue, describing a scene or figuring out the perfect opening, you are not alone. Now you have chosen your final idea, it is time to write your sci-fi script! You should remember what you have learned from previous lessons about formatting, genre and narrative structure and refer back to the help sheets if you are stuck.
- Follow industry standard formatting - celtx should do a lot, but research a technique if you're unsure
- Grammar and punctuation must be up to scratch - proofreading multiple times should help
- Ensure it is easy to read - this can be done by having an efficient script and following the 4 line rule
- Adhere to generic conventions - you are writing a sci-fi so make it feel like a sci-fi
- Make your scenes vivid - try to incorporate sounds and props into your action as well as similes and metaphors
